Project updates in Tecology Workspace are used to share progress, context, and key information about work that is underway. Updates help you understand what has been done, what is in progress, and what may be coming next.
Project updates are added to provide visibility rather than real-time reporting. They may include notes about progress, decisions made, completed tasks, or upcoming work.
Not every action results in an update. Updates are shared when there is meaningful information to communicate.
For projects with a defined scope or outcome, updates may reflect milestones, completed stages, or changes to the plan.
Progress is communicated at a high level so you can see how work is moving without needing to follow every individual task.
For ongoing projects such as monthly retainers or MSP plans, updates are used to summarise activity over time.
Rather than signalling an end point, updates help show how ongoing work is being managed and where focus is currently placed.
Project updates provide context and visibility, but they are not a replacement for support tickets or task lists.
If you have a new request, change, or question, it should still be raised as a support ticket so it can be tracked and prioritised correctly.
Updates may be added:
The absence of a recent update does not necessarily mean work has stopped.
Review the latest project update to understand current progress. If you have a new request or need clarification, submit a support ticket so it can be handled properly.
