All card information is processed directly by Stripe, which is designed to meet high levels of security and compliance, including PCI DSS requirements. This ensures payment data is handled in a secure, regulated environment.
For clients on monthly retainers or recurring plans, payments are processed automatically via a Stripe subscription.
Invoices are issued on your billing cycle and payment is taken automatically using the payment method on file. Invoice status may move from Not Paid to Paid once payment has been successfully processed.
If your retainer plan or recurring service changes, Tecology will update your Stripe subscription automatically for the next billing cycle.
In some cases, Stripe may apply prorated adjustments depending on the type of change and when it is applied. If a change affects your billing, Tecology can clarify what will happen before the next invoice is issued.
Most payment issues are resolved quickly and are usually related to one of the following:
When a payment fails, Stripe will notify you directly and provide clear prompts to update your payment method or confirm your details.
If a payment attempt fails, Stripe will automatically retry the payment up to four times.
Clients are notified automatically and can follow Stripe’s secure prompts to update card details or resolve any issues. Once updated, Stripe will continue retrying the payment automatically.
Tecology will only intervene if requested by the client or if an invoice later becomes overdue and requires manual follow-up.
